ATLANTICA MORE (Multipurpose Innovative Ultralight Ability Chair)

Atlantica has developed the project of a modular wheelchair, producing a prototype, called MIURA. Initially designed to be a product for paraplegics but with multiple applications, the prototype that Atlantica is creating, with the important collaboration and funding of NAVARM, is a modular wheelchair, whose majority of components are 3D printable and the rest is COTS, that is easily available on the market and low cost. Itelaio is modular, so it is possible to print other modules or components to vary / expand their use and functions.

The frame responds to the most serious needs, without sacrificing ease of use and maintenance; equipped with adjustable rear suspension, adjustable width and two engine modules capable of guaranteeing high performance and with fully adjustable electronics according to needs.

The current phase involves the development of a “Off-road” model for wheelchairs and for transporting injured persons on a stretcher in a semi-autonomous manner, with a maximum load of 100kg. MIURA allows the attachment of rigid or semi-rigid stretchers with an on-board motorization capable of traveling at a maximum speed of 30km / h with extremely low noise and an autonomy of over 30km

In addition to the Off-road model, MORE can be integrated with other easy-to-transport Modules, transforming the wheelchair into transport for SNOW / SKI, Tennis / Basketball and Handbike.

The SCALE model was also tested, easy to transport, which allows the wheelchair to be used in “tracked” mode to allow you to overcome even an obstacle represented by a flight of stairs.


With this Research and Innovation project, Atlantica intends to evolve its MORE project from a simple prototype to a product suitable for full industrialization. The wheelchair will be available at low cost, with a control system (webapp) in Wi-Fi streaming, for monitoring user parameters (weight, posture, load distribution), customizing the product based on the specific needs of each user. Being a modular wheelchair, each user will be able to “design” their own module, adapting it to their needs, using the Atlantica online platform that uses Blockchain technology, users will be able to design and print that specific component, sharing the evolutions with everyone. Blockchain technology will make it possible to monitor the movements and conditions of movement of the user, to create a sort of map of the usual routes; SW, WEB app graphics, battery and motor parameters can also be customized.

The goal will be to have a modern, multifunctional and low-cost wheelchair.


Atlantica Digital, has acquired from the company Gyala S.r.l., the “Business Branch” operating in the civil field of Cyber ​​Security for the development of products and solutions with high technological content, called “Products and Solutions for the Civil Market”; the activities acquired include the “KORIS” project, already approved by the MISE, as part of the “Fund for sustainable growth”.

The Koris project consists of a CyberSecurity solution for the protection of IT / OT systems in the industrial environment. By developing the aspects related to the protection of data and infrastructures, KORIS will allow the automation of detection and reaction processes in the face of external attacks, will be able to promptly identify any anomaly at the network level or operation of each individual program of each computer of the IT infrastructure or of the OT industrial automation network, to analyze the overall situation and, on the basis of the general state of the system and a specific knowledge base for each type of infrastructure.

The platform will have the ability to take automatic decisions, applying reaction and containment actions to incidents and providing detailed operating instructions to operators, even if they are not CyberSecurity experts.


2VITA-B “VETERAN VIRTUAL TRAINING FOR AGING BLOCKCHAIN” is a research project aimed at defining a tool for the recovery of memory of Veterans affected by the “PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and of people suffering from neurodegenerative pathologies; the project, funded by NAVARM, also intends to explore the areas of secure transfer of clinical data, adopting specific Blockchain solutions; thanks to the interaction of the vocal and visual systems of Cognitive Computing technologies, it will be possible to collect and organize audiovisual memory fragments and organize them to generate personalized memory paths, to be used as cognitive stimulus able to recall the memories of Veterans / Patients , with the effect of improving their well-being and relations with formal (doctors and nurses) and informal (family) “Caregivers”.
The technological solution for the safe management of the treatment of patients’ clinical data and their most intimate memories will be developed; the result will be an application that can be used as a rehabilitation and support tool for veterans, but also for civilians who have been subject to a traumatic event, with consequent psycho-physiological suffering, or for all those who are subject to neurodegenerative diseases.


The aim of the project is to provide real support to Logistics and the Army during medium and long term operations, facilitating food production on site and providing high quality products in a programmed way, operating within well-defined protocols of easy application and safe performance. The project allows you to design a pre-assembled system in standard containers, transportable, storable and usable in any circumstance.
The project will be carried out in collaboration with the innovative Startup AGRI ISLAND Srl and the University of Rome Tor Vergata and will use technological solutions relating to Human Sciences, Information and Signal Processing Technology, Manufacturing Processes / Design Tools / Techniques, Techniques and Systems for Production Manufacturing , Health and well-being, Logistics, etc.

SMEM 2.0

Come evoluzione del proprio prodotto di Smart Metering, Atlantica con SMeM 2.0 intende realizzare un unico sistema di telelettura e telegestione, dedicato al mercato residenziale e industriale, diversificato per tipologia di servizio (Elettrico, Gas, Acqua, Calore) e per tecnologia Punto-Punto (PtP) e Punto-Multi-Punto (PmP).

Il progetto comprende più componenti dedicate a svolgere specifici compiti; la piattaforma fornirà un insieme di funzionalità grafiche che permetteranno all’utente di monitorare e gestire la propria rete multiservizi scegliendo tra Gas, Elettrico, Acqua e Calore.

Potrà essere integrato con nuovi servizi/funzionalità, sulla base delle esigenze dei clienti e del mercato; in ambito industriale integrerà l’insieme delle logiche di business per la gestione dei servizi di utility, realizzando anche componenti per la connessione verso gli apparati che differiscono per tipologia di contatore (Gas, Acqua, Elettrico, Calore) tecnologie di comunicazione ( PLC, LPWA, NB-IoT, WMBUS,…) e protocollo; SMeM 2.0 sarà un prodotto evoluto rispetto alle soluzioni attualmente sul mercato, sia a livello di architettura del SW che a livello di Data Base, rendendo possibile la gestione delle misure in un contesto di Big Data, alla raccolta di dati (letture, eventi, allarmi), alla loro memorizzazione, alla configurazione degli apparati, alla interazione con sistemi esterni, etc.


Come evoluzione del proprio prodotto di Security «SAM», Atlantica intende utilizzare le più avanzate tecnologie IT per integrare, all’interno di un’unica piattaforma, le elaborazioni critiche, così da garantire la sicurezza globale dell’infrastruttura IT e, al contempo, di mettere a disposizione un riferimento unico per le operazioni di audit, comprese quelle a finalità forense.

In questo ambito, presso la SW Factory che Atlantica Digital sta aprendo a Rende (CS), sarà sviluppata la piattaforma per il monitoraggio e l’accertamento di responsabilità delle utenze, come da normativa GDPR, in modalità Agentless, attraverso la raccolta degli elementi di prova maggiormente attendibili, per attribuire le responsabilità e il livello di coinvolgimento delle persone rispetto ad attività fraudolente o dannose; sarà possibile avere piena deterrenza delle frodi attuate dagli amministratori dei sistemi, impendendo altresì la possibilità di manipolazione di tracce relative ad attività improprie ed eventuali impatti reputazionali derivanti dalle possibili frodi riscontrate; sarà quindi realizzata un’unica piattaforma integrata di Cybersecurity per gestire tutti gli aspetti di sicurezza legati alla gestione del ciclo di vita delle identità, al Log Mgmt, al monitoraggio video delle attività degli amministratori, al Data Control su End-Point, alla Banca Password digitale, etc.
